I put Continental Extreme DWS06 on mine, and I'm not looking back. I had these on a different car and loved them, and I love them on the ZL1. I don't intentionally drive in the rain, but if you ever get caught in the rain with the stock tires, it's not much fun. The Continentals will serve you well. And they hold the road, I've seen a little over 1G in turns and they did their job.

Hi guys. Currently have the supercar 3's on my vehicle. Odometer reads 8,000 miles. Car is stock except for Borla Atak exhaust and Roto Fab intake.
Been reading the reviews on the Goodyear super car3 vs the Michelin PS4S. Tough decision here. I don't drive my car in winter or any wet weather for that matter. I'm California high desert. Have some good roads to play on up here. I actually love the Goodyears. Michelin seems to be where everyone is at. Quick question though. How about the Pilot Sport Cup 2's? |

I wouldn't call turn-in with the PS4S "squishy", we need to be more nuanced here. It's squishier than the SC3 or other track focused tires, but it's not like you're in a 2015 Dodge SUV when trying to corner fast, these differences are very small.
A similar point can be made about its dry traction on the street, sure, it may not hook quite as well from a dig as a drag radial and may start (progressively) letting go in a corner sooner than more "rigid" tires, but it's still up there in the 98th or 99th percentile in these aspects. What is not very small is the wet (and even cold) pavement advantage of the PS4S, so if that is a consideration, the SC3 should be out immediately. The Cup 2s are racing tires that are not good for the street in the rain either, they are a competition for the SC3 with similar characteristics. As I said, the SC3 is magic on the track, once it has enough heat, it feels like it's glued to the asphalt. Two (or more) sets of wheels and tires is where it's at if someone wants the best for both the street and the track IMO.

SC3 vs PS4S. The PS4S is only better at being a street tire over the SC3 and doesn't need more time to warm up to be sticky and last much longer. For the road course, SC3 or Cup 2 is the way to go as they are much stickier, onced warmed up properly. |

I have experience with the following:
PS4S - These last pretty long. Handling in the dry is decent. Wet performance is not very good at all. This is a deceptive tire that will not warn you before it lets go. I've used these no on the track and ran good laps. On the street I wrecked my 2019 ZLE with these on a damp day. I have them on my car now, but I always leave a lot in reserve if I start to push or battle those pesky BMWs on I-87. Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 - Excellent communicative tire (Cheap too) that's very good in the rain. They warm up quick. I've ran laps just as quick as the PS4S in these. The tires howl a lot near the limit which is a good thing IMHO. They lack lateral stability though, so do not take long radius corners too aggressively. The car will feel like it's rolling in the corners. They are a point and shoot tire - also a slow-in Fast-out tire. The construction is likely the culprit as it does not have much steel belting in the carcass. I've driven these in below freezing temps and was happy. Supercar 3 - Feels like a track tire minus the outright maximum grip of the 3Rs. No good in the rain and in winter temps. Otherwise, very well balanced do-it-all tire in the dry. Still takes a while to warm up. |

Yep, tradeoffs.
Make your choice, pay your money and deal with the consequences. PS4S are just fine for me on the street. I wouldn't call them "squishy" at all. And the wet grip has to be driven to be believed. "No way these tires should grip like this in this rain" has been spoken aloud. |
