Jack Pads for 2019 Convertible

I'm looking for a solution to protect the pinch welds on a 2019 Camaro SS convertible while jacking. The obvious solution is the ZL1 Addons jack pads, but I'm in Canada and the shipping for a single Mag Pad doubles the cost. I'm wondering if anyone else in Canada has found a more reasonably priced jack pad that can be purchased without paying exorbitant shipping fees.

Thanks.

Being that you're from Canada, hockey pucks with a slice in them work just great.

here is the one I've been using. fits within the cutout on the rocker panels and is magnetic so you can place it on the pinch weld before moving your jack into place.

Thanks...I had my eye on that one as well. So you've had success with it on a 6th gen convertible?

Yeah the only problem I ran into was the recessed pad on my jack. I had to add a small wood block so that the new slotted jack pad sat proud. Otherwise my jack would still interfere with the rocker panel. You might need the same thing depending on the design of the jack you’re using.

If you want cheap, go for one of these:

... or even cheaper: slot your own hockey puck.

Thanks for the suggestions and links. On a related topic, where are you positioning jack stands once you've lifted the car? There only seems to be one location to lift from at each wheel, so if I lift at the pinch weld there's nowhere to position a jack stand. It sure would be nice if this information was in the owner's manual. SMH.

Put the stand under the X-brace at the weld between the bolts... so the load is on the bracket at the pinch weld, not further up the bar.

Here's a good example:

I've used this particular puck as well the jack stand method, this is the way to go.
