What cam is already in it?
Is the car manual or auto? |

That really depends on what you want to do with the car. Is it going to be a 1/4 mile race car? Daily driver with good manors? What are your REAL horsepower goals? What is the compression ratio of your stroker?
I'm gonna guess you want a mix of both street/strip. If you absolutely must have a ProCharger, I would go with a D1X. Combined with your stroker (418?) it will give you great street ability and power potential from 600-1000whp. The answer to the guy asking "which cam should I buy" is always going to be, custom. Its only about $50 more to get your cam custom designed to fit your build and your wants. Working with a vendor is a really good idea, and will probably save you some money. I'm starting to feel like I should be getting paid for advertising, but I can't say enough good things about this supercharger kit. Check out ESS Tuning and their supercharger kits for the camaro. I got mine on sale for $5k when they were first released and I'm extremely happy with it. Get the G3X blower option.

my car has automatic trans. im looking to get around 800Hp, not sure about compression. Looking for reliability and Raw HP. im not a pro on this kind of stuff, so I don't know a lot of specifics on my engine, but I spent a lot of money and very disappointed with the HP numbers.

Cam in car now is called Sick and Twisted, bought it from Hawks Motorsports. Not sure if its a custom cam or a production that they had I stock.

With ProCharger setup you do not need a blower cam. NA cams yield the best results..

I wouldn't bother changing the cam then. The one you already have is close enough to good specs and you aren't going for really huge power numbers.
Your transmission is going to be your weakest link. Start planning on swapping in a 6L90 out of a ZL1. |

You need:
Fuel System: Dsx aux pump 4psi Dsx flex sensor ID 1300x injectors ZL1 in-tank pump or if you can find a higher volume in tank pump, get it. If your cam and valve train aren’t up to level yet; To spin to 6,800 rpm PAC 660 polished duals Ti retainers VVT cam like the TSP 3.2 DoD / AFM delete Vented catch can is a must or expect to blow out your rear main seal, etc. I use the Mighty Mouse with -12an off the oil fill cap. Stage 2 ProCharger D1X tuner kit 3.9” pulley got me 760 rwhp on e85 at 14lbs, so you’ll need a bit smaller pulley to hit 800 rwhp. Kooks LT’s and Kooks full 3in exhaust if you don’t already have that done. I recommend ARP head studs.... Forget what heat range plugs I have; will check later Build your 6L80 for at least 1000hp and a billet triple disc converter. Trans cooler is a must. Tune Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You made how much on a 3.9 pulley ? That's amazing I am running on a 3.85 pulley and on E85 and I am expecting to hit around 14lbs of boost as well. I got a TSP boosted cam stage 2 227/235 at 114 LSA LT headers catless running back to the stock NPP exhaust. I am super excited to see what my car does. I upgraded my clutch and fuel system as well. Monster Twin Disk Clutch rated for 1,000hp at the crank I got a Fore Innovation Triple pump staged. Did you upgrade anything else besides what you mentioned in the engine ? I am worried about the driveshaft and the axles and the diff.

235 on the intake seems a bit much. When I got my cam spec'd I asked for a cam that maintained the LS3 torque down low when not in boost while having the ability to breathe deep in the upper rpm's. I ended up with 224/240 the exhaust valve open at 60 BBDC which some will say that is too early for an LS3. I am not looking for a max effort cam. This should be a very drive-able yet powerful cam. Here is a good vid on boosted cams
