That would be Forgestar wheels. You could do a staggered setup for track youll just go through tires more often depending on how much you track.

The Zl1 wheels you have now fit fine, the 285 tire you have however you need to adjust to a 30 profile instead of the 35 profile you have currently.
The ZL1 wheels were just to test. They were off a friends G5 ZL1.

I'm stuck between a square 20x9.5 setup (Konig Interflow) or 20x10 (TSW Sprint). I'm not looking to do customs on this car right now... You said the TSW's are around 28lbs. The Konig's I saw listed at 25.9lbs somewhere. Know anything better?

TSW Bathurst
Forgestar
RSR R801

Those I would say are solid choices.

Can I reuse the factory TPMS on a new wheel? Or do I need new sensors?

I've been looking for a set of rear wheels and tires to run at the drag strip. I've taken a lot of measurements and done a ton of research. I think I've figured out what tires I need but can't seem to find decent wheels at a reasonable price. Can you help?

I've posted the below thread with what I've done and what I've found so far but no one seems interested.

6th Gen ZL1 Drag Strip Wheel & Tire Options

Wheels: Ideally, I'd like the wheels to match or be very close to the stock style and color - just in 18x12 size to allow for taller (flexible) sidewall. I'm pretty sure the bolt pattern is the common 5x4.75 but I only measured 2 13/16" between centers on the lugs so I guess I don't understand something.

Minimum Wheel Diameter: 18 inches

A 2-inch reduction in rim diameter would bring the inside circumference 1" closer to the caliper, leaving 1/4" clearance - assuming similar construction to stock rims.

Maximum Wheel Backspace: 8 inches

Backspace of 7 5/8 inches for the stock rims leaves at least 2-inches of clearance from all brake and suspension components. However, with stock rim/tire combo there is only about 1 inch of clearance at the fabric lining inside the fender well on the forward, inboard corner. This corner is shaped at a radius similar to that of the tire, so a 1/2 inch increase to backspace and/or 1" tire height is as close as I'd dare to push it. The new 2018 ZL1 1LE boasts 13-inch wide tires so I have to assume they've modified the lining or sheet metal in the fender wells, rims, or suspension to accomodate them.

What I need:

Code:
Size: 18x12
offset/BS: 43mm/7.7" (41mm/7.6" for 18x11)
Pad height: max
Bold pat: 5x4.75
Style: 5 spoke split-spoke (similar to stock)
Color: black or dk gray flake (similar to stock)
Only found 1 (expensive) potential candidate but it's only 11" wide. I don't really like the chrome - clashes with the front stock rims. Also, they require 3-4 weeks lead time! I don't want to wait that long.

Weld Tech S76B Wheels

Tires: I'm thinking I need the widest, stickiest tires that will fit without rubbing anything. Lots of forum members seem to like the Hoosiers and others swear by the MT's. MT's seem to have the best fitment options but appear to be more expensive.

Maximum Tire Height: 28 inches

Stock tires are about 27 inches high unloaded. Adding 1" will reduce clearance in forward inboard corner of wheel well by 1/2", leaving about 1/2" assuming stock offset & width.

Candidates:

Mickey Thompson P305/40R18 [PN: 3482]

Code:
Size Wt cmpnd rim sec tread O.D. circ. Matl # Part #
P305/40R18
28X12.50R18 33 R2 11 12.2 11.1 28.0 87.9 90000024572 3482
JEGS: $364.00
Summit: $364.95

Hoosier P335/30R18 [PN: 17345DR2]

I could go with a taller, slightly wider tire but, looking at the Hoosier tire specs listing, this seemed like the best I could do. Maybe the list is outdated.

Code:
Size Wt cmpnd rim sec tread O.D. circ. Matl # Part #
P335/30R18
26.2x12.2R18 26 ??? 12 ??? 12.2 26.2 ??? ??? 17345DR2
JEGS: $249.99
Summit: $249.97

Thanks for any help you can provide.

No worries have you looked at options like the BC Forged option for instance? Their pricing is amazing for a monoblock wheel and obviously you can decide on a color you desire as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. They do have several that look close to the stock rims but they're all $2,800 a pair. That's like twice as much as the Weld Tech wheels at $705 ea. I was hoping to find some under $500 ea..

Oops! I guess they're talking about a 4-wheel set. That would be comparable in price to the Weld Tech wheels if I could buy just 2. They claim they can build to order in 5-weeks or less. With shipping time, that's about the same as Weld Tech's. I was hoping to find something I could get in days, not weeks. Prime drag strip weather is upon us and I'd like to take advantage of it.

I guess I'll keep looking for a bit. Maybe someone will turn up with a used set of 18x12's that I can have shipped right away.

Have you checked out the MRR FS series wheels? They can be done in a matter of 10 days for you.

You talking about these?
https://www.mrrwheels.com/collection...s/products/fs1

That would be perfect if they came in my size (18x12). I never thought it would be this hard to find alternate wheels for the ZL1. The 2018 ZL1 1LE is going to be even more limited with those 13" rears.

yes sir and you are correct

18x12 Forgestar wheels would be a good option but once again it takes about 6 weeks to be done.

It's a tough one.

Seems like I'm doomed to wait for a heat wave. What about these BC Forged RS40 wheels? They come in 18x20. Can I get a 43mm offset with high clearance for the Brembos? How much would those set me back for a pair?
