Strue tower brace

Will the GM strut tower brace for the SS fit on a 2018 ZL1?

I went with the BMR...fits perfect, no rubs.

Would you think it would still fit with a stock blower lid? Love how it looks!

They built it with the stock lid in mind.

Always liked BMR's stuff.

Thanks, I wonder why it doesn't have one from the factory like the 5th gen.

Convertible? Or hardtop and just for aesthetics? I thought Al was quoted somewhere saying the hardtop alpha chassis/suspension design does not benifit from a STB, so it’s just added unnecessary weight.

I needed more "shine" to pull off the engine bay look I wanted.
With the NX lid, BMR STB, and the Weapon-X valve covers, I had my s shine to offset the carbon fiber and red.

Here's mine with stock lid, like Intimidator, I did it for aesthetics and for my desires to have more of a "finished" look. I read the "Al" section posted, one thing that I find funny was the STB indention on the underside of the ZL1 hood, but a STB was not needed, so why have the indentation on the hood...regardless, not debating, just funny to me! Seeing a factory installed STB in an SS convertible, I thought, why not a ZL1 convertible... I get the coupes since they do have more structure...

As for when mine originally "rubbed" the underside of the hood, that was caused by bad offset angle hole drilling by BMR, however, they quickly made it right and gave me another which works perfectly! 3 months and 1,400 miles later, still happy with my decision and no issues! Cheers!
