Need new tires, don't want Pirellis
I need new tires on my Camaro after 46k miles. Does anybody have a good suggestion on tires for the Camaro that aren't Pirellis?
I have a 2011 1LT RS, 245s and 275s with 20" rims currently. |

I went with Nitto Invo. I have 8k miles on them so far, love them.

General's AS-03's......and better yet. get yourself a second set of rears (20x9's) and run a 275/40 at all 4 corners. not only will your car handle better, you will have the ability to rotate your tires to even out wear, thus making them last longer. There are a lot of us that have done this.....I love the added handling and the ability to make my tires last longer.

Vredstiens are pretty good also. You can get them from Ohio Speed here on the forums.

just mounted up a set of firehawk wide ovals on my SS, they ride awesome and very quiet.I was running the generals for about a year but the noise was just too much. The firehawk come in two types the all season and a purely summer tire that is a perfect fit for these cars. Good luck shopping

Nitto Motivo here with 275 square setup. Ride a lot better than stock, are all weather and even have a treadwear warranty.

I just got Hankooks ventus v12 evo for a steal on tire rack and costco installed them. They ranked #2 for best affordable summer tires, right behind the Dunlop direzza.

I had the General GMax's 275/40/20 's in all 4 corners. Only got about 30K miles out of them for a 40K mile tire. I was not overly happy. No real burnouts and rotated front to back every 5 - 8K miles. New tires went on this past Monday. Went with the Nitto Motivo's same size 275/40/20 in all 4 corners. Nice thing is these are a 60K mile tire (we'll see). Plus they can rotate from side to side. Better for wear this way. Personally I would give these a try too, if you are looking for a long wear tire. (I hope).
