IPF SC dyno results

Okay, so I got my IPF SC installed and dyno'd Friday. The results are 331 rwhp and 296 lbs/torque. Now I'm told that the stock 2010 LT has around 220 rwhp stock and that it is an improvement of over 100 rwhp. Now they are not happy with the AFM hook at the end, so it's being sent to IPF for them to analyze it and see how they want to change it on Monday. I think I was hoping for a higher number but then again I told them from the beginning that I didn't want a race tune, and yes I do have a permagrin.

Good to hear but you should have gotten a before sc install dyno. That way you have a good base to start with.

I thought about the before dyno after the fact, so hindsight being what it is.... There are also no other engine mods other than MRT-V2 axle back exhaust which doubtfully contributes much to the rwhp rating, but sounds great.

I thought it was more like 250-260 stock
And btw what happen with all the 400 + rwhp from ipf I've seen. This is a let down. Or its just for a common tune?

My LLT dynoed at around 260 rwhp. No way these are dynoing 220. That would be like a 30% drivetrain loss in efficiency lol.

That is what i was thinking, He should have been somewhere in the 375 - 400 Hp range

What tune did you use and was there any popping during the dyno?

They stopped the pull to early, she redlines at 7200, not 6200. She will makes 4 more LBS of boost in that last 1000 RPM and 30-40 more HP. I promos she's making a lot more than that. Also Spyderbuddy, Dynos are just a diagnostic tool not to be two highly relied on, and you have to factor in so manny thing including humidity and altitude and ambient air temp. All those things have to be accurately programed into the Dyno for it to be even close to reading correct.
Enjoy the power... its addicting. BTW if you still have cats, get rid of them. They will fail and hold you up.

Agree. Its common knowledge that EVERY dyno will show different numbers than another, and weather and your location (elevation) will play a big role in your stock numbers, so yes, you could see stock numbers from 220rwhp (very low) to about 260 (on the high end)

7,200 might be a bit much, but I believe you are right. If you want to see the max power, they should be running that car to at least 6,800 or 6,900 rpm as it will add more boost in that range.

That said, they may have shut it down early because of the AFR spike, and if so, that is a good thing to do. Get the AFR issue taken care of, and then run her again, and this time run it up near to high 6,000 rpm range if you want to see more power.

Typically IPF will see around 350ish with automatic and 375+ with manually. Cars with headers are they ones that usually see closer to 400rwhp.

The AFR spike looks just like my AFR gauge was reading when I had the V60C1D, AFR would be extremely rich till at 5000+ RPM's then would misfire and the AFR would go lean from the explosions in the headers.
