Great - thanks for posting the actual screen shots.

Another question if anyone remembers or can watch the video....on 3rd->4th shift done at/near redline, what does the RPM drop down to?

Just trying to figure out where you land on the powerband after an upshift, particularly since I plan to shift 1,0000-1,5000 RPM short of redline on my first track day (break in and all). Just wanted to know if I'd land too low to accelerate out.

Is second really good for 80? Well, maybe I'm driving like a bigger jackass than I thought.

kjk3888, I can confirm those second hand. On the Yas Marina Circuit I commonly found the rev limited in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th just due to the length of the straights and the tall gearing in this car. Based on my speeds I was right north of 140 in 4th on the long straight, about 110 in third, and really close to 80 in second. I will also say that this car turns into a dog in 5th. It accelerates, but not as vigorously. Any time I grabbed 5th, it almost felt like a bog.

I did a T56 swap with 4:10 gears in my third gen Camaro and it is much more fun to shift because you go through the gears so fast. I think the gear spread on our cars is not suited for track use. It works, but GM should have changed the ratios for the track oriented packages.

Can someone double check that the data is correct? Do the top speeds/gear at redline match real world?

6th Gen SS and 1LE M6 Final Drive: 3.73

6th Gen SS and SS-1LE Tremec TR6060 M6 Gear Ratios (overall):

3rd -1.3 (4.85)
4th - 1.0 (3.73)
5th - 0.74 (2.76)
6th - 0.5 (1.87)

Let's see the video... :-)

Everyone says the LT1 will blow with boost on a long pull...I'm hoping not.

0-60 and 1/4 mile reality in Texas

Top speed for at least the V8 Camaros is limited by aero (wind resistance) and not achievable in highest gear for any of the transmissions (completely stock).

What I found from auto magazine testing (SS 1LE):
Motor Trend

Motor Trend Car & Driver Automobile

0-60 4.1 4.1 4.2
1/4 mile 12.5 @ 115.2 12.4 @ 116 n/a
Braking 93 ft (60-0) 141 ft (70-0) 107 ft (60-0)
Lat. g. 1.12 1.05 1.02

Disclaimer: Information based on credited resources. Please excuse the appearance of my rough table above. I just hope I could help on this topic. My personal preference for testing results is Motor Trend.
Here’s my personal experience after buying a NEW Shock 2019 2SS A10 on July 15th and subsequently, trading in for a NEW 2019 Shock 1SS/1LE M6 on February 8th this year.

My BEST, on DIRTY, DUSTY, low grip DFW Texas access rds and finishing slightly uphill in A10, was a 12.2 sec 1/4 mile in A10, recording also, my best and ONLY 4.2 sec 0-60 time!!!

Learning LC on the M6 was NOT easy learning curve, and I STILL botch my throttle position going from 1st to 2nd a third of the time LOL
Having said that, in same no access, access road, I managed a BEST 1/4 mile of 12.3 with manual, however, it showed a 0-60 of only 4.6 seconds?! Having said that, a couple weeks later, I found some reasonable asphalt, still a bit dirty and kind of a hump, and I clicked my FIRST EVER (and only to date), 0-60 time matching best of A10, with a 4.2 seconds!!! IN A MANUAL WHOO HOO!!! I’d ONLY ever clocked 4.3s in attempting a 0-60 time only, in my A10... so this is ONLY 0-60 only attempt that I’d clocked a 4.2, the other one was during a 1/4 mile attempt. That being the case, I truly believe, in 58-63* temperature, on a flat and clean asphalt surface, no burn out, no prep, mathematically a 11.9 sec 1/4 mile is a GIVEN, but I think under ideal conditions, an 11.7 sec 1/4 mile is possible?!

Ps the onboard computer never shows the speed at 1/4 mile, which might be a nice addition to the software, Chevy??? But all things being equal, a best time of 12.3 with a 0.4 seconds too slow 0-60, on crappy conc-phalt in Texas, let’s me know better numbers are most assuredly doable!!!

No lift shift.

Your throttle position should be on the floor, can't really botch that.

Yeah, that works in Mustang GT, I’ve had 4, go to my YouTube channel and research before thinking I’m a noob?!

You do know that the SS has no lift shift programmed into it, right? Clearly you don't. Also go look at the fast list. Not a chance in hell you are running an 11.7 stock. No one has cracked an 11 stock in a manual. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=427506

I made an Excel sheet for this when I was bored in the past. Made it for a few cars I had.

I have read about the LC in the manual but I don't recall reading NLS just yet.

Yeah, about three months after I got the car after it was broken in, just did it again last time I had the car out.
First time on the Continentals and I got a good chirp which the Goodyears never did, Goodyears either grabbed or silently spun.

It took me some time to actually try the NLS as it goes against decades of instinct, when I finally tried it I was hooked.

Do some research before thinking I'm a noob.
