White letter tires are growing on me.... again...

I grew up in a time when tires just weren't cool unless they had white lettering. They fell out of fashion forever and within the last couple years I have seen people adding lettering to new tires. I thought the idea was terrible at first, but I have seen some cars that it works really well on. I am really debating going down this road on my next set of tires. Post up some pics if you are running any.

As long as it's what the tire is. Saw a youtube video where some guy put Goodyear stickers on the Conti DWS06.

I used to like the white letters back in the '80s or so. I'm not a fan of the stick on letters that are a bit larger than the black lettering on the tire.

I prefer red line tires
Also goodyear used to have special blue streak tires on performance tires in the 60s

Ahh who can forget scrubbing those suckers with Westley’s Bleach-white to keep them looking sharp. I grew up in that time too. My 04 pickup rocked white letters from the factory.

In my opinion, it looks terrible unless there is sufficient sidewall on the tire. For any modern 20"+ tire, there isn't enough sidewall.

White letters on low profile tires looks ridiculous. LS & LT1 standard tires OK I guess. (Remember old skool Cragers were 14/15 inch rims with beefy tires.)
