**WEIGHTS of PARTS**

I think this would be the best place to do a weight thread, unless someone has a better idea. As we develop new parts for the car I think it would be a good idea to keep track of weights on items coming off the car and new items going on. I welcome anyone to add to this as they work on their own cars.

I'll start today.

ENGINE

SUSPENSION

EXHAUST

2016 SS A8 full exhaust
NPP Mufflers with 6" of pipe going in 39.30 lbs
Complete mid section and cats 59 lbs
Exhaust manifolds (pair) 23.60 lbs

Complete OEM SS A8 exhaust front to back with NPP 121.90 lbs

LG Super Pro full exhaust with mufflers 82.95 lbs front to back.

Agreed...great info and very happy you're sharing it in a thread. Very akin to putting your money where your mouth is and I appreciate that in a performance parts company!

Again for anyone working on their car at home, feel free to post what they have found and I'll keep updating the first post.

Think someone can make this a sticky?

I reported the original post and asked. That's the best way to contact an admin/moderator on most forums.

I know there is going to be different weights for the non NPP cars.

I do believe, but have not confirmed, that the M6 cars are slightly different in the mid section. I don't expect weight to change but again trying to contain as much data as possible.

Wow, really? Got pics? That just seems odd to me that they'd be different in spec when GM should be able to cover both SS transmissions with one specific exhaust. That they'd be different based on transmission selection? Not efficient.

Why do you say that? They were different on the Gen5 cars. Didn't say it had to make sense.

It's been said the AFM hardware is installed in both M6 and A8 cars as per engine stuff. It's just disabled in M6 cars. Do they both have the forward set of butterflies or does just the A8 have those?
