Cost to Rebuild SS Rear Diff Clutches

I have a 2011 SS that needs the rear diff clutches replaced. How much do shops typically charge if diff is carried in?

What caused the diff to fail in the first place? Bearings..gears..etc..all look O.K. Just the clutch pack is burnt? May be cheaper just to find another diff? Or get with Jannetty...they have a rear clutch upgrade but cost $$...maybe just get rid of the clutch diff and get a torsen...road race or drag race? Also chance to upgrade to 3.91? good luck...

I am going to buy a Z/28 diff and am trying to figure out what my diff is worth to offset the cost. Diff is fine just spins one wheel.

If it spins 1 wheel it is NOT ok. Hope you do the right thing and sell it as a core.

Differentials are peculiar because nobody knows whats in the basket till you remove it from the car and disect the unit. Labor rates vary drastically you should call rear end shops for quotes nobody is going to tell you what its going to cost, but pulling a 1 legger burnout means you toasted stuff.
