This happened to me with my Lexus ISF. I think it is just a combination of speed, angle of attack, and what you hit.
I recall the incident that bent my left front wheel on the ISF and it was nothing that I would have thought would bend a rim. Then again, I have hit some huge holes in the road, thinking for sure I would have damaged something, only to find nothing got damaged. I don't think you'll find rhyme nor reason. I ended up replacing the ISF wheels with TSW wheels. Very strong, not the lightest or raciest, but I liked the ones I had and they were very well built wheels. I am still looking for the right wheels for my '18 ZL1. |
