Too far out, and you can encounter the lip when the suspension compresses (especially in the front when the wheel is turned).

Sorry for all the questions, I need to get winter tires before I get the car and I've never bought tires before.

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...et2=30#content

For the rears it will bring the 28 mm out from the suspension strut, along with sticking out 10mm less than before. The centerline isn't the same though. This is ok right? No risk of hitting suspension, no risk of hitting the strut. And if the spokes do not clear the brake caliper, then I can at minimum use a 10 mm spacer, which would put the outer rim at the same spot at stock rims. Right?

I'm really hoping to get 18" rims and snow tires as they will save me $1400 vs getting 20" rims and snow tires.

I cannot answer those questions for you.

If you absolutely need snow tires, then order just the 20" tires and have them mounted on your stock rims when the car comes in to get you by. That's the only thing you can do *right now* or *today*, and have it be 100% effective.

Then, when more is known, buy 18s and snow tires, and then sell the 20" tires as "barely used" to someone that really needs them. You may have to take a $100 hit on them, but that's still cheaper than $1300+ extra.

Do you have a delivery date for your car? Is it this week? I think you should be able to wait just a few more days or a week and more will be known as each day progresses. The sky is not falling... yet.

Haha I know, just trying to get it done as soon as possible. I probably won't get it till late Nov early Dec. It will take at least a week to order in rims, tires and actually get them.

Not an option to buy 20" winter tires really, they are $700 each for rears (I'm in Canada) and $600 each for fronts, just not a realistic option, and they would be 100% impossible to re-sell. The exact same tire in 225/55R18 is only $300 each, and rims will only be like $250 each.

How sure are we on the offsets, +39 for rear and +25 for fronts, is that confirmed by Chevy? I have just seen that one person posted those numbers who went to a findnewroads event.

Those numbers were posted by a forum member and not by someone on the find new roads tour as I originally believed. After talking to two engineers at the find new roads and being told the offsets are different from the 2015 and the will sit more inboard then previously. I decided to wait until the car arrives and then I will order my rims and tires. I just don't want to deal with mounting tires on a rim and then not being able to return them and selling them at a cheaper cost then what I purchased them at. Its worth the wait of 2 more weeks for the cars to arrive in our hands first and someone on here can verify this info as correct.

The Camaro program manager Jim Kalahar was at the Orlando event and told me you're not going to fit a 5th gen wheel on a 6th gen. He also confirmed they sit in further.

Why can't you fit a 5th gen? Because the offset is too different? What is the offset and rim width of the 5th gen?

This is one of the 6th gen wheels:

20x8.5 and I think it means the offset is 25mm.

This image says nothing about bolt pattern.

I really hope it's not 5x115, there are about 10X more wheels available in 5x120 than 5x115
