Muffler question

I’m looking for a set of mufflers for my car. I have kooks headers already and want a deep sound. What mufflers sound the best?

I don't have them on my car. But every time I hear them. If I was to change my exhaust I would put Borla attack. [With no Questions] But everyone has a differeant idea and sound they prefer.

Everybody has their own preference, but I have Kooks LT’s with high flow cats and Solo Mach XL catback. Nice classic muscle car sound and low to no drone. I only picked up some drone after my cam install and I’m working on the J pipes to eliminate that.

If you’re after a deep tone only, Stainless Works Retro Chambered catback is the deepest sounding catback I’ve heard.

I've been looking for a DEEP sound too but I could not find anything. I have a Flowmaster knock-off that is loud and not bad sounding (but I get a lot of popping) but I'd like something a little deeper. I have heard that a H-pipe will help more than a X-pipe to achieve that tone.

you should look into the rest of the Kooks exhaust. I installed their high flow cats, x-pipe, 3 inch pipe and their mufflers and love the deep sound. When I want it louder, i added cutouts.

I searched, listened, ask, even went to hear systems. In the end, I found the best overall sound with no drone, etc, was a stock ls3 system with headers and cats. For 7 yrs I couldn't find anything I liked better....until. I heard the Borla Touring axle back system. Just got the car back from the shop...and it really does not disappoint. Much deeper tone, much less rasp and no drone.
If you like a deeper sound but don't want the, sometimes, overbearing sound, then these are the ones.
We all know sound is relevant to the listener....but I recommend you at least give them a listen. Just remember, the Borla video comparison they do is on a factory system with all the cats and resonators, etc. It may sound quiet, but headers change everything.
Now that I have rambled too long.....good luck.

I would advise you to listen to some that guys have on their Camaro. When you hear the sound you want, them it's time to buy.
