I ended up with 17 HSPUs. No no-reps and I never put the DB down, I was just unbelievable slow through the step ups and ended up with a 7:57 tiebreaker. Oh well.
Thanks. Yes sir at around 3 today.

That's still good. There are so many people that can't even do 1 strict HSPU. Monique's tiebreaker time was 5:11 but like you she felt like the step ups went incredibly slow. Hoping to make up some time there....

Have to get those 4 no reps and have to find at least another 1:20 seconds somewhere.

Man we learned a lot today.

She improved to 133 reps but could/should have done better.

First she had a no rep in the lunge. Still with that she made up 7 seconds in the tiebreak time. She only had 1 no rep on the HSPU's.

But the biggest takeaway from today was to make sure you have the right shoes on doing the HSPU's. She wears NoBull trainers and while it's a great shoe it has a rubber sole. Every rep you could see her feet stopping when she initially went to push up. Nikki came over and showed up her shoes which were some type of Reebok "training" shoe. They have a piece of hard plastic, probably 3mm thick on the back side of the heel. Would have made a huge difference.

But it's fine. We learned and won't make the same mistake again.

I rock NoBulls every day. They're my chill shoe because they feel like couches for my feet.

My Metcons have those. I call them "cheaters," but they do the trick.

She is. And there are even bigger, stronger, faster, more in shape 40 something year old women than her but I have to tell you. I love just to sit and watch her train.....it's something to see....and not because she's "the best" because she is not (she's pretty good though) but watching her perform now when I know what she was, what she went through to get to this point, how hard she worked....just makes me giddy.
I know the feeling, as a trainer, there is a pride seeing what they can accomplish, and the dedication they have put in to get there. And on top of that, at that age, to make strides is not the easiest thing... we know this..lol.

She managed 112 reps. I think she can maybe get around 115 on Monday. We will see how she feels. She is at the train with Rich weekend this weekend. She normally takes Sat and Sun off.

this is good stuff. When i did it today (hungover) I would have been finishing the first part as she was getting back into the second part. I have this weird thing where if I know I won't be able to sprint something, I cruise, and it just takes me forever.

HAHA I am (or I guess should say was) the same way. Our work capacity sucks and we have no idea of how to pace ourselves!

Truthfully though, most, if not all athletes in CF struggle with that in some way shape or form.

Going again at 3:30 today.

Would have been 115 but she got a no rep on one of her last bar mu's

Still an improvement and it was a really good one for her. She will fall some but as of right now she would be tied for 17th worldwide in this workout.

Well she has fallen to 45th in that workout but thanks

She is, as of now, 114th worldwide in her age group out of approx 10800.

Please Lord, no max snatch on Thursday. Thank you.
