That's because of limited production, not heritage. Ford will produce 5000 gt350 in a year, the Camaro will sell near twice that in a month. You think if Ford made 8000 gt350 a month they would hold there value? It's called lack of availability.

And why do you think they are producing 5000 instead of 8000/month? what I meant was the GT350 has a legacy attached to it.. hence the new one has a sense of emotional attachment to it... when the auto makers sense this... they limit the production to kind of point to that heritage...

True, but only if you can get it at msrp. If you pay a $10000 adm, you will loose that almost as fast as you paid it.

Low production rate also is a consequence of it being a gas guzzler, because all manufacturers have to keep these types in low volume so as to not ding them too much on the corporate mpg fuel average. Emissions also plays a big part in the equation like with the outgoing LS7 from our Z/28 and Z06 5th gen cars.
