With glass delaminating on multiple verts, multiple times, makes me wonder if that’s the cause. You should be able to drive top up, windows down and not lose rear glass. What a PIA.

Good luck..
I don't drive with the top up/windows down. I'm in SoCal and my Camaro is a daily driver...I try and drive with the top down every chance I get.

...or design putting excessive tensile peel-stress on the adhesive/glass interface. <5 years is premature for a vert top to fail. That said, convertible and fabric/vinyl vert tops never last forever ... ~5-10 years is normal for top longevity (5 if kept outside, 10 if garaged).

My local top guy replaces Camaro tops for the local dealers (both their warranty and non-warranty work). When I had my wife's '07 in for a new top a couple years ago I stopped by with the Z. He had just replaced a top on a '18 RS the dealer had on the lot ... one of Cox's PDI techs had put something on it that dissolved the adhesive (turned it white).

$#!t happens... sooner or later, but it happens.

Drive with top down always or top up only in the city slow driving with windows down less air pressure

I have a 2016, and having the same issue. I will be checking with the dealer tomorrow to see if this is covered as part of the extended warranty.

I sure hope it’s covered for you and for others with that problem

So they were able to keep the top in place and just repair/replace the window ? if so that is awesome.

Anyone Had This Issue Covered by CPO Warranty?

My window has started to separate from the top. Brought it to a Chevrolet dealer with a copy of the TSB in hand. Was told by the dealer and Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center that the Chevy Certified Pre-Owned bumper-to-bumper warranty doesn't cover the window separation problem. Their reason is that the folding top is a trim piece and the warranty excludes trim items.

I have had my top replaced twice in the short time of ownership (18 months) last time I had it replaced Dec 23rd 2019 I just noticed its delaminating/detaching again. I am now out of bumper to bumper warranty. But the technician told me the new top had a 1 year warranty so tomorrow I will find out if that is true.

In my case, the dealer had to replace the entire top. Luckily, it did count as a warranty repair.

Hi. You mentioned "extended warranty." Is that a certified pre-owned or a GM extended protection plan GMEPP? Curious because the GMEPP specifically excludes "convertible tops, any convertible top assemblies."

I had same issue, I went to dealership about a week ago and they said they will be ordering a brand new top, covered by warranty.

I purchased some 3M top glue, 3M primer, and suction cup clamps and am going to attempt my own repair for mine. Mine is just in one corner and I have read on other forums (this is a common issue for all convertibles) that this can work. I figure what have I got to lose? If this works I save $1400 (the supplies cost me about $100).

I will let you guys know how it goes once it is done.
