I have experience with both, having owned an F22 (street and track) as well as the SS 1LE and having coached drivers in M2s and M3s -
F22 Street - Excellent car and a joy to drive. Quite a lot of room and acts like a mini station wagon. No complaints as a street car. F22 Track - Very limit, very quickly. Fun, kinda, but only for a short time. Mine had M brakes and camber, but was limited in a short amount of time M2/M3 Track - Huge power, but expensive to modify. Stock for stock the SS 1LE blows away the M2/M3. (blows away as in easier to drive and laps seconds quicker from my experience. (I really wanted a M2c, but after seeing how much they cost and cost to modify, no comparison) I have some fun data graphs comparing the SS to the M3c that I can share if people want. Ken |

If you can live with the Camaro ergonomics, it's going to be a lot more fun than the M240i. The M240i doesn't even have a limited slip diff.

Oops my bad. Didn't realize they were dropping the RWD version. That makes the M240i even less fun. Unless you live in the snow belt.

The new M240i is currently AWD, but there is a RWD version coming down the pipeline. |

I love it!!!! Prior to this, I had a 2020 X4M Comp. The changes they have made on the 22 are substantial. The Low end torque has been greatly improved, along with suspension. I am floored everytime I get in this thing. It sounds ridiculous to say, but it legitimately feels like a big go cart. The acceleration is ridiculous for any car, let alone a 4400 lb SUV. I have owned more 800-1000 hp Viper/Vette/Hellcat builds than I can count, so I am addicted to American Torque, but these Comp cars are absolutely ridiculous and grossly underrated from the factory!
All that said, I LOVE my rental car interior LT1. Now if I can find a competent shop that will return my call and actually build it, I would be set!!!!!!!!!

We sure do have a real first world problem here, arguing about which hot 50 thousand dollar car best suits our whims and desires. I dig it. |
