I absolutely love the ASC splitter it is great! I have had APR splitters in the past on other platforms and was not impressed. Most of the time after installed they ended up being angled upwards and also my previous ones were very heavy- like equal to plywood.

I would hands down to ASC over APR however I am biased. The splitter coupled with wing the car feels perfectly balanced.

I also reached out to APR about trunk mounting plates for wing and will be getting a pair however it does not look like they will actually do anything to prevent trunk from caving in. Some custom fab is in the works and def needed for some supports that extend straight down to just inside tail lights. Will keep posted!

That is definitley moving and enjoy watching your vids!

So I spoke with a guy on facebook who was the test trunk for APR's reinforcement plates. He said not only are they a plate on the underside, but they have "studs" or basically extra longer washers/spacers in between the layer of the trunk. He had no caving in on his test event last weekend.

Wow! Those are nicer than I had imagined. I'll be looking forward to the plates arriving.

Thanks for posting this!

I just spoke with my rep at APR and was told they now make two backing plates and spacers with the kit. It was also tested at Buttonwillow just last weekend and found no bending. I have a copy of their new install manual and it shows the large backing plates on the underside of the trunk.

I will be purchasing the wing, I run their 300 wing on my Evo and love it.

I need someone to swap rear deck lids with me! So annoying that the SS 1LE trunk doesn't accommodate this mod.
