I don't think they check your previous experience for the intermediate group but I can't say for sure. If no one else here can answer, maybe reach out to them to confirm.



I can't imagine they would have a problem with it. Best case is nothing happens and you stay in intermediate, worst case they may ask to move you to the novice. In either case, track time!
