For that price, it's pretty much a no brainer. Plus you can recover some of the cost by selling your old rockers. Or keep them to sell the skirts later. Why pay double for a one-way trip with ACS bolt on side skirt?

Most people get aftermarket ZL1 Style side skirts / rocker extensions vs OEM ZL1 rockers due to the OEM ZL1 Rocker panels not being direct fit and requiring the front fenders to be adjusted slightly. People have found ways to make it work possibly without adjusting the fenders, and 5thGenDIY has a kit to make it work.

After seeing these on your car, I think I might go with a set also.. Looks great.

Are the fender extensions separate? I've not done much research yet, since I was just going to leave it stock other them the PPF I had done to protect the front and sides.

I installed ZL1 style side skirts over my factory rockers and they look great. I went with Extreme Online Store and they fit pretty well.

He wants the OEM ZL1 side skirts because she needs to repaint lower moldings not avoid.

I would still repaint what you had and add the ACS moldings. I think if someone is posting a used one side only it’s probably from a salvage and he only has that side.

Also paint may not Match and you’ll need to blend.

It will cost you ALOT to repaint right I’m guessing 3-5k (close to 5k were I live)

Paint and body has gotten stupid expensive and to be honest you might be better off selling it and buying one in better shape if quotes are stupid expensive.

Real cheap way to make look better but not perfect is Dr Colorchip..

Lol. I was thinking it, but you said it. And I know you kid, but I have a different take. I love the 650 HP engine in the ZL1, but I can't stand the hood, the splitter, the huge wing, etc.

It's all subjective, of course, but IMO you put any 2016 to 2018, or even a 2019 to 2024 1SS or 2SS up next to a ZL1, the cheaper model looks better. But I do envy that engine. It's awesome.

I went with Extreme Online Store and love the look.

I do however think the ACS composites fit better

I got mine from C7 Carbon (here). Fitment is 100%, absolutely perfect. They hug the SS rockers as if they were from the same mold, and the length is also perfect, down to 1/32nds or even better. They are attached with self-tappers and have been on rock solid since 2020 despite the inevitable occasional shoe tap.

Only small negatives I can think of are that they aren't cheap, and of course hollow bottom like all the other aftermarket side skirts.

Hey, I can respect your takes! . I love everything about my Z. I don't have the 1LE so no huge wing for me(I don't like it either). Hood doesn't bother me since I have the carbon fiber insert...if I had the gloss black one it might bug me though. Front splitter doesn't bother me since i don't have the dive planes on it(don't like those either) Love my wheels, but are a PITA to clean. Still wouldn't trade them out though. I absolutely love the look of the SS 1LE wheels, but obviously don't want my ZL1 looking like an SS . Yes, the engine is a masterpiece in every way and DEFINITELY not getting rid of that!

That's what makes all of us car/Camaro enthusiasts awesome, is that we ALL have different likes and what someone does or has on THEIR car, I might like or dislike and what I have on mine, someone may like or dislike it....and THAT'S OK!!!! If you own, drive or rent a Camaro, then all is right in the world and we are all awesome!

Hmmm composite… I thought they were fiber glass. Did that recently change?

I was going to order these but did there spoiler 1st and was not happy with the fit… but I believe that WAS fiber glass.

Their side skirts are fiberglass, at least the ones I bought back then definitely are. Never had a spoiler from them, but I did sell their front splitter I'd bought because I didn't like its design , its fitment was practically perfect, too. Looks like you had bad luck with that spoiler.

Anyone have the ACS SS/ZL1 Rockers along with the OEM mud guards, their website says it doesn't fit but some of the pictures in this thread look like you do have mud guards and they fit.
