H Pipe Installed!
Hi all,
I had my H pipe installed today locally at Eddie's Mufflers in Compton. I went with the recommended size 2.75" for the long parts to match the stock size and 2.5" for the inside piece. I bought my 304 stainless pipes on Amazon. Overall Eddie did a great standout welding job as usual and I'm very happy with the quality of it and the sound! I definitely gives a deeper, more burble filled growl than the stock X pipe. The volume increased by maybe 20% - overall just sounds mean! I have the Borla Atak and secondary cat delete. It was interesting to hear right after me another guy had the Borla Atak full catback installed for his 2015 1LE and you can hear the difference in the X and the H. X is smoother and a little quieter. |

Somewhatdamaged, it looks pretty slick and not too expensive to have done. What did it run you?
Also, do you have a link to the Amazon pipes? I'm strongly considering this mod. Thanks, Dave |

Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 One thing to be mindful of, I bought one of the two foot pipes and I needed an extra piece that luckily I had from my previous secondary cat delete mod. I had measured the stock X at roughly 11" but with the pipe needed to overlap, it was a little short. I'll try to find this other vendor I had found, and post that as well. As far as the cost, the install was about 70 bucks. The guy took his time, really welded it well, before sticking it on the car. I kept the stock X just in case, and should be able to reweld it in if I wanted, but I wont! |

How does it sound under load going down the road at speed and cruising?

I can speak for mine - with the Borla ATAK and secondary cat delete, under load, cruising still ZERO drone. Ultimately, it gave more of a growl, burble and increased volume - just sounds better to my ears than the X.
