The auto 5.0's become utterly and completely different animals when given a proper tune that takes advantages of bolt ons. A month ago a guy brought a fairly new, stock 2011 5.0 auto to our local track. He ran a 12.9 @ 112 MPH.
Last week he brough it back, with LT's, a tune, intake and street DOT drag tires and ran a 12.23 @ 116 MPH. Thats how much an auto 5.0 wakes up when taken care of. |

Just when I thought we were making progress with these discussions....
Some people choose to believe what they want regardless of information provided. I saw the owner run their car before and after we tuned it. Makes me kinda wish we ran video that night. Hell, even that would be questioned by some non-believers here. That's fine. I have backed everything I have claimed here and have nothing to hide and no agenda outside of correcting some of the information presented. Hope to see more Camaro's at the track so those owners can back their statements up as well. |

Lol! When you guys post without a time slip or video it is OK and accepted without critique? I call that out too. If it was my car you would have time slips at minimum. Just to add more, said owner since went a 12.87@112 at the same track, this past Friday, 8/12. Same mods as before....tune and mufflers. Wished you lived closer as I would love to meet you at the track. We make believers every time we go out. |

I didn't know corrected ET's are now all the rage since nobody at the track has ever came up to me and asked me what my corrected ET was because who effin care's since it doesn't go up in lights on the board or printed on your slip. I've never even seen it been calculated when cars are reviewed by the mags. |

Correcting for DA is OK but not when one is posting on a fast/record list. My 11.63@118 run corrects to a 11.29@121. There is always a % of error with correction as well. I like to see the "real" numbers too. Those who run in -DA never post their corrected numbers. Wonder why? |
