I raced a 5.0 lastnight...
Him... Catback LTs Tune Gears Manual Me... Tune LTs Catback Tstat Intake Auto I won by a half a length, but by all rights he should have won but he couldn't drive. It just goes to show unless your grossly overpowered by a modded 5.0 it's all a drivers race.

Well, he is referring to the claim that the 5.0 with a tune is worth 7/10ths in the quarter mile. That's the equivilant of about 70 hp. I'm not saying it's not true, but seriously, think about that. If and when I see it in person then I'll believe it, until then it's just something some guy said on a forum. I love the fact there are so many defenders of the great 5.0 here. God forbid someone say something they deem as not true. Seriously, who gives a chit if they are talking crap about the SS on a Mustang forum. I means seriously, WGAS??

There is way more to a tune the peak numbers and I dont see why a L99 couldn't do the same with a dyno tune. |
