is there a difference between pressing the traction control button twice and getting the “competitive mode” thing and holding down the button for 8 seconds?

Um yes. This would be an RTFM moment.

I don't think it's that. my car will do a burn out fine either way... competitive mode or all nannies off.

Mine is an 8 speed, when in manual mode and I come to a stop it will put me in first. But I can then put it manually into 2nd.

You wouldnt know because clearly you didnt RTFM.

Alright today i did some adjusting on the tune and still no success. I adjusted the timing like you had mentioned, and all it did was pull that timing back out unfortunately. I also messed with Accel threshold and that also made no difference. I tried both changes in unison.

I checked out my brake torque limit, and its 6,039 across the board.

Any other guesses?

Well if it pulled the timing back out then you might have some torque management stuff going on.

Stock trans tune?

not stock but don’t have access to it. any time i try to read it it gives me a stock file. but previous tuner did mess with it. knowing the way he tuned the rest of the car i’d venture to say he screwed that up too

little update, i noticed something on a log that was interesting that i must have been overlooking. Whenever i would try to do a burnout, the pedal would be all the way to the floor, but i saw that my TPS percent was bouncing between 38.8-39.2%

Something is telling it not to listen to what the driver is demanding, but all of the driver demand tables seem fine. I'm genuinely stumped at this point.
