Smoked by a c7z
So at highway speed, what gear would an auto z06 kick down to? And we say bye bye !!

This is why I carefully pick my battles lol. But I guess you never know how you stack up if you don't try.
I believe the C7 Z came with the 8L90 in auto form. I am not sure of the gearing in those.

They are a lot lighter, so its no surprise. Add to it, you don't know about what was done to the stock motor.

Power to weight ratio has been the hotrodders secret since the first hotrod was built....

With your hp they might go to 7th on an auto or 5/6 on a manual. You car is strong and I'm sure very quick, but they're MUCH lighter and stronger. It's like a headers, intake, tune SS playing with a stock ZL1. There's not much effort needed to win on the bigger fish's side.

With 100 hp more, auto and lighter, I knew the vette would win! It was just for shits and giggles lol. Very fun! I love those cars. They sound great when you’re falling behind too lol!

I did the same thing with a 5th gen ZL1 one day. The only reason he even played along was that my car had a 427 sticker on it that the previous owner had put on. Thankfully those stickers are LONG gone. Glad you had some fun!

That must be why every Honda and POS minivan on the road wants a piece of me, lol.

I purposely antagonize cars like that, not because I think I can win, I just want to see other people light their cars off.

That and traction. Doesn't matter how much power you have, if you can't get traction then it's useless.

That's ricer mentality though. You're just making the person with the faster car feel even better about his/her ride when they smoke you. I'm more of a sleeper guy. A $16k LT4 swap in a ratty old 3rd gen would be hella fun.
