Back in the 70's I had a 70 Mustang Mach 1 with a built 351 Windsor and a 4 speed top loader. That car was a blast to slam gears but it tried to kill me many times. I also love to rip on my 6MT SS although I still can't get the no lift shift down very well - too much old muscle memory to overcome.

You can have more fun with a manual although the A10 is a special auto. Love the top video. You can see why we called rowing the gears. LOL

I’m with you SSDan as I can’t get the hang of no lift shifting either! I have been driving a manual 40 years and old habits are hard to break. Yeah the drag racing back then was archaic as compared to today but it’s a blast to me to see those old muscle cars run down the 1320!!

Yeah Fraxum in the day though an Auto would have been a disadvantage to a 4 speed especially a 2 speed Powerglide!
