No issues with my 17 2SS with 8k miles so far (knock on wood)!
Not crazy abt 1-2/2-1 shifts but that seems pretty common and unrelated to the shudder issue. |

2016 Shutter happened around 15k, flushed 3 times and no more issue so far at 22k. However, my A8 still shift hard from 1-2. Myself and dealer has done transmission fast learn mutiple times. I guess that's how it is.

I had a 2016 V6 with about 19k miles on it... I started getting a shudder when I held it at 60 mph... of course at first I thought it was the road. I took it in, but they were pulling in a 2018 2SS Red line edition into the showroom when I walked in... I left with it instead.. LOL.

Back to the OPs original question, does this still impact the 18’s? I have an 18 and no issues but only about 2k miles so far. Any other 18 owners want to chime in?

my 18 only has about 1550 miles on it but no issues so far. other than driver side mirror wind noise in certain cross wind conditions. ive extensively perused threads about the issues and i haven't seen anyone with an 18 report the issue yet. seems that most people having issues were 16's and early 17's.

protovack has an '18 1SS. If you are using an app to look at the forums you won't see the info under their screen name.

That's why I said possible case. But his description matches the majority of first experiences with the shudder, cruising at highway speeds. It may be a tire out of balance for all we know. But it's the only mention of an '18 I've found so far. So maybe that's good news.

It was one of the reasons I waited until 2018. Drove manuals all my life from trucks to cars to bikes, but I wanted an auto this time. I took a chance since most appear to be related to known issues with TC manufacture and/or improper fluid used during assembly. I expected it would have been resolved by 2018 and so far so good. I wonder if other models across the GM brands with the same tranny have issues with their 2018's?
