Shelby and his teams have done in international racing what few can claim. Remember the 1966 LeMans?
Yes Shelby went to Chevrolet first and was told no because GM already had the Corvette. But with Fords deep pockets in the 1960's for funding racing. Plus Henry Ford II desire to crush Ferarri in international racing (after a failed attempt to buy them). Ford did what no American Automoble company had ever done....crushed the European's on their own turf and at their own game. I was a pretty proud moment for most Americans and fans of American cars. Carroll Shelby's name will be forever etched in automotive history books..like it or not.

I also have to say the C6 Corvettes are doing a fine job of kicking a$$ in current GT racing.

Hey how about one of us gives Shelby $10K then run it against the GT500 and watch the rapage begin! All they need to do is a tune and a SC and it will kill the GT500

Seriously, when someone pays me to advertise for them, is when I would leave an emblem on my car, until then, my cars get debadged, I don't care if others know what it is or not.

If any of you guys who hate Shelby so much ever come into possession of an original Cobra, let me know before you push it off a cliff. I'll gladly take it off your hands - for free I'm sure, because you'd never dirty yourselves by taking money for a Shelby product - and solve your problem for you. I'm sure NONE of you would keep such a classic sports car.

Back to the issue at hand - putting Shelby badges on a car Shelby didn't work on is kinda dumb, but if Shelby wants to work on Camaros and Challengers, I say go for it! I'm sure that there will be a market share for him from those who value performance over strictly adhering to the heritage Nickey or Yenko badging, and they won't be a bunch of self-hating losers wishing they had Mustangs either - they'll just be looking for the best performance value for their car. And if Shelby comes up with a better package, I won't be

'ing their competitors, either.

Really, this "blue oval"-phobia stuff does go way too far sometimes...

OMG! That is terrible! Nothing against Shelby, though......just looks like such a terrible, ridiculous knock-off....of a car that doesn't exist. WOW! Bad enough when some guys put 2 dozen SS badges on their Camaro.

If the seas part and we ever see a Shelby Camaro, let us pray it doesn't look like this.
