Lighted door sills
Has anyone added this lighted accessory to their door sill. I was wondering how easy it is to install and if the pigtail wiring is just laying in the frame ready to go.

For the wiring you have to connect a couple of pins into an existing wiring harness up under the drivers side dash. The kit comes with good instructions, but some of the work space at the wiring harness I’m sure may be tight difficult space to work in.

I just installed mine a couple of weeks ago, it was not difficult at all. Instructions are very easy. Just time consuming as you have to pull all the carpeting back.

Sills
For something i will only see for 10 seconds, $350 is steep. If it was
A 5 minute plug and play i would think about it. |

Before I bought a pair of the sills off Facebook for $50 and made my own harness following the wiring linked previously, total less then $75

I wanted to do this to m 2023, they look so much nicer than the black plastic stock, but I read you had to cut into wiring, is that not true ? If its plug and play, could be a go for me. Anyone know for sure, I do not want to cut any wiring.

Sad, this is beyond me I guess
Looks to me like you gotta cut and tie into a wire or two. And even getting it neatly up there seems involved, shame GM did not just pre-wire the car with a harness under the front seats.
I called my local dealer to see if I might get lucky on a descent install price, everyone sitting down ? Dealer said I need to get parts via them at $350, youch since I found other online sources for $256.00 and I was hoping for a $150 install, nope $300.00 So total cost $600.00 plus tax, really close to $700.00 Oh well, the black plastic is looking really good now - |

Same boat as the above post. Was looking at these but the reviews are mixed.
