Oil Pump failure - definitive parts list?
Finally happened - May 17, 24K miles.
Came to a stop, warning came on and pressure dropped to zero. Had to pull off the road, but curiously, even at 2K revs, pressure came back. Stopped the car 20 seconds later and got towed home. Now, the issue is what's needed. The oil pump is the easy part - I know there have been several revisions and the latest GM unit seems to be reliable. My issue is I'm in the UK and I can't just order parts for next day delivery, so I'm trying to compile a list of components needed for a one drop, assuming there's no real damage and hopefully just perhaps a tensioner needed. What I've got on order so far is: seal 12666993 seal 12621086 gasket 12657430 PUMP 12686434 seal 2724966 seal 52474373 bolt 11548076 bolt 11548075 seal 12630024 bolt 11546565 cam actuator bolt 12633123 tensioner 12630107 ls front crank seal 12585673 oil seal pan x 2 12621086 rtv sealant x 2 12378521 water pump gasket x 2 12657430 And of course, Oil, filter and coolant. Is there anything else I might need, assuming no other damage? Is there a definitive GM parts list? I think the GM Document ID is 2888472 but I don't have a clear screenshot or copy, so any help greatly appreciated.

Are 17s-18s all ticking time bombs?
Most of these cars are still low miles |

Let me caveat that this is only my opinion. Let me repeat, only my opinion. I don't think these are ticking time bombs. On the Camaro6 forums there have been 31 (now 32) documented oil pump failures.......out of a total of over 6000 cars built for the 2018 year (I think 6164 is the total #). That's like .005%. Of course not everyone who owns a ZL1 is on the forums so it's impossible to get a full accurate picture. To get to 10% failures you'd have to have 20x that number. To my knowledge Chevy has not said anything about oil pump failures in 2018 ZL1s (which seems to be where most of the documented cases have happened - with 2017 build dates!) I don't think there is an issue with oil pumps, but of course to the ones that have had the failures there is absolutely an issue. Anyhow, my 2 cents.
