Should this be warratable?

Curious if anyone else has had this issue. The unit is still under its certified preowned b2b.

I’m 99% certain that any dealer would call that wear and tear (especially since it’s cpo)

Doubt it very much. Too much hand sanitizer.

The damage doesn't look anything beyond what a dealership would deem normal wear and tear to me.

Cheap fix: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081D2MT2H

More expensive fix: https://www.redlinegoods.com/Camaro1...ng-wheel-cover

Best fix: https://wildhammermotorsports.com/16...el-wildhammer/

Normal wear for leather on the steering wheel.

I would insist on a brand new ZL1, nothing less, for the stress and inconvenience.

Correction: normal wear and tear for a GM product.

A very good detailer may be able to tell you what caused it, if it can be fixed/improved and how much it will cost you.

Is this your first car?

Seriously though, an upholstery shop may be able to reduce some of that with steam/heat.

No not my first car had many with leather steering wheels and never had this happen. I guess its just cheap leather compared to my others.

I was only half kidding.

You'd be surprised what chemicals and cleaning agents can do to an interior. Some of the real aggressive cleaning chemical used to clean vehicles for Covid will actually degrade and destroy plastics by making them brittle.

I can remember several years ago in a development project that it was determined sun screen was damaging the buttons on radio and HVAC controls.
