Sport vs. Track mode
Hi guys,
Still trying to learn how this fabulous car works. Regarding the drive modes, I find the throttle more responsive in sport mode, at least in the first third of pedal travel. But when you get more into the throttle in track mode, the car really goes. Does this sound about right? Is the throttle less responsive in track mode at lower pedal positions for better control on the track? Thanks.

I thought I liked Track mode's throttle response until I actually got on-track, where I found it lacks upper-torque resolution and ends up behaving like an on/off switch at higher loads. No bueno. Now I prefer Sport mode's throttle response.
Down the road, I'll map my torque request mapping via HP Tuners to make Track mode more linear in its response, but for now I'm putting up with the stock mapping to appease the Warranty Gods. The car makes the same torque in the different modes, but the pedal mapping changes, thus giving a different feel and perception.

Thanks. I guess that's what I'm feeling. Motor "feels" a little soft until you get into the throttle, then bang. I'm street only and not sure which mode I like better, although I like the suspension feel of track mode better.
Looks like we both have similar genetics. Same color car, good taste in motorcycles.

Has anyone released a map of what the three modes look like on a graph? I'd be curious to know the actual throttle % for a given pedal %

During one of tests sessions for MT, Randy Probst said that he asked the GM engineers to reduce throttle tip-in in Track mode to help the loose out/throttle application. He said GM listened. So if the throttle is a little lazy you can thank him. I prefer Sport mode.

And what about the dual mode exhaust, sport vs. track? Sounds the same to me.

Thanks. It's an unbelievable machine, and I've owned many, many liter+ bikes. Full exhaust and a flash = 212 rwhp, AND you can tour on it!
Sorry to go off topic.

So I'm not crazy, well anymore than what my wife already says I am. I have driven in Sport now since I bought the car. I tried Track mode the other day for a day and noticed almost immediately that the throttle tip in was way off compared to Track mode.

Just wish we could have track mode suspension settings with sport throttle. Without a tune. Lol

Just set your suspension and steering in the menus too however u like, throttle response should still change with the mode selector.

With a throttle controller, it'll give you more tip-in at lower throttles. But, that means that you naturally have less at higher throttles. Check out this http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488478 |

For instance, you could set: suspension - track exhaust - track steering - tour mode switch - sport (throttle where you want it)
