Ramping up to IPF install

Heya guys

I picked up a used IPF kit and I'm getting ready to go through and get things going.

I've got some new pulleys/bearings coming, gatorback belt (107.38 suffice or should I go a size smaller?) and still have to order a catch can. Based on reading some of the feedback and responses in the PCV thread I'm thinking I'm gonna go with the Mighty Mouse setup that Sycraft was using (plus it looks kinda cool).

I'd like to replace the cap screws just for the hell of it as well but i might skip that for now.

Anything else I should be aware of before tearing into things?

If the kit is used, replace the cap screws. The one for the top idler pulley is easily damaged due to the location for install. Mine got stripped out and I had to spend a day cutting the idler and other parts.

Im running the Mighty Mouse can as well with my IPF setup based off of Sycraft's recommendation as well, and it is definitely a lot better than the IPF one. Just make sure to get the catch can meant for boosted applications with the one-way valve.

Thanks but got them from Andy at IPF. Poor guy has had to deal with a slew of my stupid questions hahaha. Going to plan to tear it apart in a couple weeks. life is getting in the way a bit at the moment.

Ty sir, I knew I'd seen a thread somewhere but it wasn't coming up. Found the NGK's on the approved list and have em on the way. Only thing left is the tune from IPF which I'll pick up next week.

My schedule is crap the next couple weekends so looking at the 11-13th to do the install. Once all the parts get here it's going to be hard to wait that long.

I still have my stock spark plugs with my IPF setup. What are the benefits of upgrading to the NGKs? Do you just get 1 step colder ones to avoid early detonation?

I would look into seeing if they need to be re-gap'd. It says on the instructions and box to NOT re-gap them as they are on factory specs. I would like to know what is a safe spec to gap them to.

Ordered AEM 30-4406 Boost gauge, AEM 30-4110 A/F Gauge, and a Baron Concepts dual pod. Now just need to order the tune. Getting antsy. Have to swap out the brakes first though. That last ride on the Tail of the Dragon has them squealing pretty good. Dammit.
