Someone post an image of the 2019+ button set for HUD. I'd like to see the extra adjustment button that makes it so different.

Yes.1SS w/1LE has same hud controls as all the rest, including Corvette. Read the book in the glove box.

Interested too. Looks the same in online pics of 2019 SS. Why would ZL1 be different?

I work for a Honda parts dept and have for 20 years. Since the new safety features have come out, our windshield sales have increased significantly. IMHO, exposing the inferior quality of aftermarket glass. I know the degree of this can vary between manufacturers but I'm always surprised how quickly people are ready to abandon the manufacturer when it comes to post vehicle sale parts replacement. I think autozone, advance auto parts, etc...should go into the automotive manufacturing business, apparently there is a mass market they are missing out on because people LOVE to hang inferior aftermarket parts on their cars.
It seems a percentage of people are content to pay the price for the car as long as the bank/credit union are footing the bill for the car upfront but when it comes time for them to come out of pocket to maintain that vehicle, they are quick to jump ship. It seems for these people its mostly a 1 dimensional decision making process. And that is the price. They are typically not concerned about quality. Obviously there are variables to this to some degree but its just a 20 year observation on my part. OP... This is not directed at you but rather a slight detour. My apologies.

I have an 18 ZL1 1LE and 19 ZL1 1LE. The 19 has an extra feature in the infotainment screen. True stories.

Well, I caught another rock in the glass. I'll insist on OEM glass this time. Thanks guys!

That rotational option is great. I'm pretty sure the price between OEM and aftermarket when I had mine done at safelight last year was like $100 difference, if even that. Think the whole thing was like $700 or $800.

Yeah... Not backporting these tiny fixes and enhancements into earlier MY cars is the kind of attitude that generates more Tesla followers daily. How much work would it be, really.
Same applies to launch control configuration in the 19+ SS or HUD shift lights, absolutely petty moves from GM.

I feel your frustration tho, especially finding out a year later they put the (STANDARD in most cars,) low washer fluid sensor in.

Had mine first repaired then replaced by Safelite when the repair failed. Guy told me they use glass from the same manufacturer as GM, it's just missing the GM markings. My HUD looks as good as it did with the OEM windshield. Maybe try Safelite?!?

Just had a big rock smack my windshield yesterday on the highway. Unfortunately it chipped the window frame paint as well. At least here in SC there’s no deductible on windshield replacement & I got the option for OEM glass. I was confused when the insurance company said I’d need a recalibration but the auto glass place said it’s only on the 19’s & newer. Wasn’t aware of any difference in the HUD till today.
