Anyone ceramic coat headers?
Has anyone on here ceramic coated or jet hot coated your headers and Offroad connection pipes? I’ve been told it really keeps the engine bay much cooler and keeps hot exhaust exiting the car? Not to mention keeps the headers looking brand new. Others have said it provides no performance advantage at all and is simply for looks? Opinions?

Any mod which dissipates heat more quickly from the engine compartment is a good thing. Plus coating does preserve the look and to some extent the life of your headers. It is not a quantifiable dyno measurable mod, but coating is more than just for looks Coating your catless mids has no real performance benefit. I have done that in the past. It may extend your mid pipes life I suppose, but really the only benefit I see to coating mid pipes is that your exhaust system looks cool up on a lift. Coat your headers for sure, midpipes only if you have extra money burning a hole in your pocket.

IMO it's the best mod you can do to keep the temp down under the hood, do it to all my cars, and I do the cats and there pope's as well, I track my cars and when you come into the lot after a run moustache cars pop there hood to let the heat get out, my headers are cold in 10-15 min where outher cars with out take much long-term to cool down.

Ceramic helps with under hood temps a lot. I ordered some for my Z but haven’t received yet.

I ceramic coated motorcycle exhaust before and it made a big difference. When I go the header route I definitely will be doing it.

I ceramic coated the whole thing. I stayed with the factory cats but put on a Borla s-type catback. I have RaceDeck flooring in my garage. Before the coating the floor would buckle under the car from the heat. Now it still does but much less. My car spends a decent amount of time up on the lift since my OCD for keeping it clean won’t let off. Most of my vehicles get detailed on the underside as well as the usual top side.

I've always done it on my turbo cars. The only thing that has me thinking twice is that they are no longer eligible for the header builders warranty. It would be awesome if the header company's partnered with a trusted coater so they could still warranty the header.
