The truth behind sound deadening in your car
Ask many audio enthusiasts on how to properly sound deaden their car, and some will tell you ... "apply dynamat to every piece of sheet metal you can see" .. some may even suggest applying two layers for "extra" sound deadening. Not only is this completely unnecessary, but it adds potentially HUNDREDS of pounds to your car.
I ran across this website many years ago, when the author originally created it simply to compare various types of constrained layer damper (CLD). He then expanded it to become a very useful all inclusive one stop shop for info regarding the dos and don't of proper sound deadening. I recommend anyone that chooses to do a proper install to read this. It may help you save both time and money! https://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/
