0ne GM recall key and BRM traded for my favorite 5th Gen Camaro!
Thanks to all of you for Your Help! Traded my Blue ray metallic for my favorite 5th Gen year SS. I have a 2011 2SS/RS VICTORY RED with stripes that I'll be taking off! I also was forced to take the new GM recall keys , well only one key because the previous owner only turned in one key . So from 2 sweet switchblade keys to a stupid separate key! I hate it because I keep pressing the switchblade button when I Try to put the key in the ignition!

But I know for sure nomatter what a heat gun or a hair dryer will work! And that's probably the easiest because the sticky residue loosens up because the heat!

so go fix your switchblade key:
buy the blanks here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-REPLACEME...412623&vxp=mtr find a lock smith with a mill cutter.. or buy new fobs: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-New-Uncut-...e9431a&vxp=mtr still need to find a locksmith to cut them, but you can program them yourself..

Yup I did. Thought I was going to put them back on but I have liked the clean look so much I just left it. No problem.

Where you have a VR car and the stripes have likely been on there since the beginning, you will want to get buffer, rubbing compound and good wax to bring the paint back so you cant see where the stripes were. Or just find a great detailer that knows what they are doing.

Mine showed a little to after taking the stripes off. Just get a good polishing compound and it should buff out. Also after a few washes it will help the colors blend.
There are some detailers that can work magic, just make sure you find a good one. Here is one I know a few people have gone to and had great results. http://www.innovativedetailing.com
