Tires

I apologize in advance if this question has been answered elsewhere but I cannot seem to find a direct answer.
2018 ZL1 with worn out stock tires 285/30/20 front and 305/30/20 rear. I would like to go with Michelin ps4s but the fronts are out of stock but 295’s are available.
If I go up one size front and rear to 295’s and 315’s will I have any clearance issues and even more importantly will it turn on a check engine light due to the computers not liking the different revolutions?

Thanks

I am running MPS4s 295/30/20 and 315/30/20, no clearance issues at all.

Tires

Thank you Fredtp,
I see you are listing yours as being heavily modified so I would assume that you have different software for the engine computer. If there are no issues with the different revolutions I would prefer to go one size up with the tires.

Thanks

Sabrina2016, have you checked on Tire Rack’s website for those stock sizes? They may have some in stock and you can order directly from them. They may have an installer in your part of New York.

No difference in revolutions. The 295 is wider not taller

Tires

Thank you to everyone for the responses. I have been checking tire rack for about a week and the stock size for the front is special order without an expected delivery date so I think I will go with the one size up front and back.

I run 285s in front and 315s in rear. No light issues, no clearance issues, and no handling issues.

I beg to differ.

295-285=10mm wider. 10mm x 0.3(this is the aspect RATIO)=3mm higher side wall x 2(top and bottom sidewall height combined) means the outside radius of tire is 6mm higher.

Respectfully submitted,

Jeff

I have the 295s up front (same wheel size and suspension as ZL1), no issues. My tire calc spreadsheet says the 295 is about 3mm (2.7-something) bigger in radius. It's nothing. 13.37 vs 13.48".

The Diameter (not radius) is 6mm larger so the tire is 6mm higher.
