Extra fan for A10 radiator?
Just a question
I was thinking about adding an extra fan for the A10 overheat issue we are experiencing sometimes on a track. In the front , horizontally, above the trans radiator with a manual switch. That will provide an extra flow when we are just behind a car with no flow causing that overheat issue.... Anybody with this system already? |

I haven’t heard of any overheating issues with the A10. I haven’t heard of anyone putting a fan on the tranny cooler either. Could it be something else causing the overheating?

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been in ambients over a hundred on track and never had any cooling issues. Fans don't do much if anything over 40 miles per hour.

May be the issue is solved.
Very first ZL1 had hot trans fluid on track when following other cars reducing the flow coming trough the radiator. Rising slightly above 200 I think. Haven’t heard for a while. Few issues in 2018. No issues if you are pushing Hard alone But following super close for couple of minutes, should rise and overheat (trans fluid) |

Correct me if I’m wrong but, I think the normal operating temp for the trans is ~203.
OP, think the issue with some folks experiencing overheating was due to sitting behind other cars for too long. FTR, I have no idea what “too long” constitutes but, so long as your letting the front get some good clean air once in awhile it’ll be fine. |
