I’ve been waiting since May 6 for an axleback (through one of your authorized vendors). Are you still open and producing product?

Our friends at Phastek Performance did a great little video to help answer one of the biggest FAQ's we get: What does 'an AWE' exhaust sound like with headers?

Phastek installed some BBK headers on their Camaro with the factory exhaust and with our AWE Non-Resonated, Touring Edition cat-back exhaust. You can hear our aggressive, deep start-up tone and fully symphonic wide open sound.

This comment is fairly old, but you can absolutely change the NPP settings on these cars WITHOUT starting the car. Hold the start button down until the dash lights up and then you can navigate the infotainment system and switch on Stealth Mode.

Hope that makes sense
Not only would I love to see the stock exhaust, I would love to see actual measurements as a graph. There should be some level of standardized testing where specific dB levels could be measured at specific RPM's to be able to draw true sound level comparisons instead of being shown a graphic of the "perception" of the sound.

The Corsa setups with no valves cruise quiet as stock, idle hardly louder than stock. The time that they really start to open up is >50% throttle. The AWE is very similar. Why? They're both no drone setups with well engineered mufflers/sound tuning. If the car was loud at cruise/<2500 RPM cruising, the thing would drone, hum, rattle, and make all kinds of noises you wouldn't want in most situations besides the race track. No resonance noises with AWE touring, especially with the resonators. Same for Corsa.

With a quality muffler like AWE, valves are seriously overrated. About useless. I have had valved exhausts and stock NPP with cats, without cats, with headers etc. I bet you'll never be able to guess the difference it made on cold start...A tinker's damn is the correct answer. You aren't going to tame the beast once you make it louder. Hard to have your cake and eat it too with exhaust.

So the answer is, it wouldn't hurt and it's not "hard"...It's just useless. Why make the exhaust more expensive for the engineering and manufacturing cost when the benefit is near zip?

Night and day difference on my borla atak with valves open/closed. Also takes 5 minutes to fix the cold start issues in the tune.

I'd take the AWE exhaust over any aftermarket or stock exhaust. Once you hear it, you'll understand why its the best.

I still wish they could integrate the NPP into their exhaust, just like to have that capability because that's what the car came with, either way their exhaust does sound amazing.

Understood and it does sound amazing, but to me it's "no NPP, no sale". Heck, AWE even have the tech already, just not offering it on their Camaro line.
