Seat repair?
Hey guys, I got a zl1 shipped from Cali to Vegas for a test drive this weekend through carmax. I was scrolling through 360 pics and I found a wear spot on the side of the seat. Is there a way to fix this? Sorry for pics only have screenshots atm. Wondering if I should buy it or not with the seat wear, as a new seat is very expensive.

You can buy a new factory seat cover and have it installed. Since it’s Carmax I don’t think they will lower the price for the seat damage.

but it wouldnt hurt to ask ,see if they will take 5-6 hundred less.since you havent bought the car yet you have a little leverage ,especially if this was not disclosed.

Good idea I'm going to try that. Do you know where to purchase the seat skins by chance? I can't seem to find any anywhere, only the non Recaro versions. If anyone has any insight in any seats or covers plz lmk,if not I feel I'm going to have to pass up on the car

A good upholstery shop can repair the seat cover so I wouldn’t let that issue keep me from getting the car if you really want it. Good luck!

Call your local Chevy dealer parts dept with the VIN. They should be able to quote you a price for the seat cover. If this is only issue with the car seems like an easy fix. My experience with CarMax has been good but it has been the advertised price is the price.

Ok cool, i wasn't sure how much it would be to be fixed. Trying to figure it into the price, but yah, carmax usually doesn't haggle with pricing. So it's not as big of a deal as I think then?
