4pt Cage, 6pt Harnesses, & Rear Seat Delete Installed w/Factory Recaro's

Thought I'd share some feedback and installation photos of this combination. Overall goal was simply to retain the factory seats and function while increasing the safety within the car for some light-duty HPDE events and a couple mile events requiring a cage & harnesses. I also wanted to use a Simpson hybrid sport Hans device.

Special thanks to Jordan Best & Rosco Scott with Garage Therapy NC for the high quality cage & custom sub strap harness bars I had them build. They took an idea & made it better. Beyond pleased with their welds, fitment, powder coating quality, care in packaging, & their customer service throughout the process. These guys are killing it!! Check them out on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/garagetherapync/ Website coming soon!

Garage Therapy NC- 4 point cage w/removable rear stays option
Garage Therapy NC -Harness Bars w/Sub Strap ...& Lap Belt insert mounts if you want to utilize them. I choose to use the factory lap belt locations.
Sparco-6 point Hans Aluminum PD Harnesses
Skid Mark Garage -Rear Seat Delete (modified & upholstered to work around the cage) You could also use the Schrader Performance kit.
H3R Performance HG250B 2.5lb Clean agent Fire Extinguisher
TEK208 Quick Release Aluminum Fire extinguisher Mount
GM seat belt extender ends while on track to prevent seat belt dash light.
Simpson- Hybrid Sport Hans
Schroth Racing B23A End Fitting Kits sr01324 (2 kits)

-The cage is built to meet the safety requirements set by major sanctioning bodies for HPDE/TT events such as SCCA/NASA.

-Net weight added to the car with all above came in at 59lbs!

Installing their Brake Duct Kit today.

Beautiful work. I wish this all came together as one kit without having to piece together all the parts.

Thanks. If I wasn't so particular I could have bought similar items almost all from Wine Country Racing, but I wanted the Tek208 cnc'd mount and the H3R Extinguisher. Over all though it was worth the sourcing out to get the correct harnesses, mounts, etc.

Curious if you picked up any road noise with the rear seat delete?

Did you happen to take any pics of the (front) bar mount? I'm curious to see their chosen location for the mount. Do they include backing plates for the mounts?

Brilliant idea for the sub straps! That's thinking outside the box. I'd buy a pair in a heartbeat. Using 4-point currently because I kept the Recaros.

If it's the same as my setup, I just used slightly longer bolts to anchor the factory and race belts side by side. I had to trim a bit of the plastic trim that covers the anchor bolt(s) to make it work tho.

Yes, all backing plates included and grade 8 hardware as well. The plates go through about 3 layers of of body steel at what they feel
Was the best structural points without welding in a custom cage. There’s no cutting of any interior parts or trunk lining (however, I choose to trim a few pieces so that the rear seat delete panel would lay flat around the rear stay mount locations. Nothing under the car is effected other than about 12 holes that. Hold be body plugged at removal. The pieces I cut would never be seen regardless once seats reinstalled and not visibalr from the trunk either. FYI, The cage can be removed in approx an hour if wanted.
