Torque Converters

Outside of the transmission section of this forum (which is filled with problems and maintenance questions), I have seen only a couple of examples of folks picking up an aftermarket torque converter.

Is there a particular reason that more people haven't taken that jump or that there isn't a bigger push from companies like Circle D and FTI? Traditionally speaking, a stalled auto was a beast--granted, I know that the 8L90E is a different beast all together but, I can't imagine that there isn't a place for it.

How much of a stall did you go with and how difficult was the tuning?

The new 245mm billet option from Circle D. No issues tuning and during normal driving it's great.
