This is the nicest modern mustang they've ever made. The car has an absolutely phenomenal sound, nicer than the 5 gen in my opinion. Camaro.
My friend has it with some Roush modification about 360 HP and the car is just phenomenal!

I probably wouldn't sell that

I agree on both points. The 05-09 Mustangs are my favorite modern versions. I just wish they had more punch to them.

huge problem with those things is the suspension is basically a 1976 ford cortina. road holding and handling on those things is about as bad a car can be.
putting a v8 in a car with horrendous suspension is a bad move.
i owned 3 s197's. above 80mph they are a joke

From what I've seen the vvt seems to fill in the torque area between off idle to 2-3000 rpm. The ls3 doesn't have that area covered like the l99 vvt does which makes a big difference on getting off the line so to speak. It's also makes for more of a sporty feel when cruising since most of your driving is around 15-3000 rpm. I did a GPI SS1 vvt cam last year and absolutely love it. It's been fun but now I'm going to the SS3 vvt cam!

In manual mode once you down shift with the paddles 1 time it will disable afm until you move the shifter from manual mode to any other mode. The only way to really permanently do it though is with a cam swap. It can be disabled thru tuning but your still left with those 8 shitty lifters. As soon as my new car is paid for that’s the first thing I’m going to do. Cam it and start having fun.
Not sure if you know this, but you can also just hold in the UPSHIFT button for about 2 seconds, and it will enable the AFM again, and put it back in sport mode without moving the shifter. I do this all the time.

I had mine over 120MPH on numerous occasions and at 135 a handful of times. Never a problem. But then I grew up driving muscle and nothing handles as poorly as a late 60s Firebird or Camaro. I still shiver when I think of the time I had my 69 Bird over 140mph. Pure stupidity.

I honestly think it's just a matter of attitude.
Nowadays, with a rich offer of aftermarket parts, a quality chassis is a matter of one purchase.
And now I speak from my experience.

I bought the stage 1 TVS package along with the full kit polyurethane mounts and you can't imagine how much of a change it was even using the classic 15" wheels.

This car is absolutely amazing!
And together with the 400 HP Stroker 383 cui it is a very fun car. If it works out, I will buy a Tremec TRX five-speed manual for it at the end of the year. And then it will be a complete toy.

And I stand by the fact that a top-tuned rigid axle will be faster on a flat surface than an independent suspension

L99 beats LS3 on the drag strip. Reason? Flat torque curve of L99 beats peak HP of LS3.

In real life situations, flat torque curve will always feel faster than peak torque at impossibly high rpm.

And isn't it more that the automatic transmission shifting faster..?

L99 400 HP, 410 ft./lbs.
LS3 426 HP, 420-428 ft./lbs.

The numbers speak clearly in favor of the LS3 engine
