Yes, he got a VIN number for me last week. According to them, VIN View doesn't actually show anything until the car is shipped. Can't say whether that's correct or not, but putting the VIN number in the inventory search on Chevy's site doesn't show anything either. I did plug the VIN number in on a couple of websites just to double check it, and as far as I can tell the number is legitimate.

Vin View showed exactly which parking spot my car was sitting in pretty much within the hour it rolled off the factory floor. It doesn't need to have shipped out to the dealer for VinView to work.

If your vehicle isnt in vin view then it most likely not produced. Mine was in vin view immediately

I'm wondering if these are related to the issue with vinyl applications being held up on the cars? Since I have a 1LE ordered, maybe if it doesn't have the hood wrap yet it's not considered fully produced? I know Chevy chat says the car is "produced", but I don't know if that means fully built and waiting for shipping, or instead it's still waiting on the hood wrap (or some other part), which maybe explains why it's not showing up in VinView.

Very strange if your at 4300 then it should def be produced an def show in vin view

Both Chevy chat and my dealer said I am at 4300, although I suppose they could be mistaken.

With all the logistics issues GM is having right now in getting these cars to people, I'm not surprised that some strange things are happening.

From all I have heard from the dealers I talked to, there is no rhyme or reason as to when your car will actually arrive. Might as well throw a dart at a dart board when it comes to when your car will arrive.

Anyone know what GM will be offering now that the 1.9% for 60 months is ending? Any word on new incentives or is that a thing of the past?
