Active noise cancel aka Fake Exhaust
Is this right? I have tried searching the forum and generally out there, sorry if its been covered then show me the way.
Does the 2018 I4 M6 LS camaro have fake exhaust sound running through the stereo? And how to disable that. Thanks. G. |

Fake exhaust sounds thru the stereo - no. Induction sounds from the intake via a sound tube into the cabin - yes.

no sound tube on 4 cyls. they do have noise cancel, check your doors there will be little vents near the back.
As for canceling it, you can unplug them in the doors, or possibly snip a wire back at the amp. I am unsure on this, i have just seen it mentioned in a lot of stereo threads. If you install a subwoofer, there is constant bass if you still have the anc hooked up, I personally unplugged them from inside the doors so easy to replace if ever needed. |

I noticed those little windows about shoulder height. I am planning on speaker upgrade, so I will definitely be in there. Will do an ear test next time out.
I should be able to finagle some kind of isolation test on the audio using my musician knowledge. Will update. thanks keep them coming. G. |
