Oil separator
Hey guys/gals...
New to me 2018 zl1 1le owner here... For the guys who upgraded their oil separator/catch can, can I purchase your stock pieces and hoses? Any South Jersey folks here? |

I just bought the Elite Engineering E2- X Ultra catch can which is the biggest one they have so it doesn't overfill. Remember you should replace the supercharger to head bolts.

Ugh.... not trying to remove the supercharger but it doesn’t look too difficult.. told myself that this is the first car I’m trying to keep stock. Don’t get me wrong, this car has so much potential, but just trying to enjoy a car and I’m not getting any younger... I see a good amount of folks upgrading their separators and it all makes sense, just don’t want to deal with the dealer BS. Where in NJ are you? |

Takes about 4 hrs first time you do it - I reused the stock bolts, Elite told me no problem. Well worth it to see the blowby you caught (not spraying inside your blower/intake). The more you're on boost the more you need it

That's what I came up with searching... The GM system works great until boost hits... Just trying to avoid the warranty BS

I was thinking in reusing the bolts but it did read some horror stories. Not sure uts because they over torqued.

Likely over-torqued. Shouldn't be a warranty problem but you can always remove it
