Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs/ 2019 SS Coupe?

Hey, I could use some advice and thanks in advance!

I was looking at the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs for my 2019 SS Coupe.

Is this a good fit for me?

I want to lower the car and have a proper stance while picking up a little cornering ability. Nothing crazy and not tracking the car. Just a fun street car...

Also, is it okay to just add the lowering springs or do I need to purchase new struts too?

Thanks!

If you have MRC I don’t see the point other then lowering but that could cause other issues with the ride control sensor.

If not then you’re good to go with just replacing the springs, look up any reviews from a 2016+ SS and it’ll be the exact same as your cars setup

Edit: thought I read 2SS, so ignore the MRC stuff then and you’re good to go

Yeah, no MRC.

Sounds good, just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything!

I was just concerned that adding just the springs was okay.

Thanks!

Even with MRC, the Eibachs work fine. I have had them in my ZL1 for nearly 3 years

Expect you will like what the Eibachs do for handling and looks given you have 30 series profile tires. Had the Eibach springs installed along with ZL1 front/rear anti-sway bars about 2 years ago on my 2SS with MRC (changed over to 285/30 & 305/30 tires on MRR017 rims at same time). Lowered car by about 1.25 to 1.5" inches relative to OEM. Ride was firmer but not harsh. Cornered flatter. Eliminated the 'too big' air gap between body and tire that was apparent before springs installed. Remember to get alignment done after install - consider using the ZL1 oriented FE4 spec vs. standard SS FE3 (check threads on the alignment spec topic for more info).

Good to hear you're happy with the Eibachs. Definitely looking forward to getting them installed!

Can't wait to get rid of the gap between the tires and body. The streets in the city are garbage so expecting I'll notice the bumps a bit more.

While I was planning on the alignment, didn't think of the ZL1 Spec. Thanks for pointing that out! I'll have to research the alignment a bit more.

My Eibachs make the car to "appear" lower in the rear than the front. I put Bilstein B6's on it at the same time. A little too harsh for me now. The Bilsteins are softening up just a bit with 1k on them but wish I'd have left the OEM shocks and struts on it.

I have the 3/4" Eibach lowering springs and sway bars with Magnetic Ride Control. Zero issues after a year, but sometimes there are clunking sounds in the rear. The rear spring coils are closely wound. The rear coils have a plastic casing (About .100" thick) over the the powder coating. I suspect this is in case of coil bind to prevent metal to metal contact.

It looked low because of the camber being off. Tire tucked up too much.

Tire shop could not get it right. Chevy dealer did. Looks right now.

Bilstein's off factory set back on.
