Roof and windows issue

Hey! So, I´m unable to get my soft top up. I disconnected battery when it was down. DIC says to open and close driver window, done that 1million times, not working or the error message doesn´t go away.
All 4 window express up not working, express down working. When opening a door the window goes down a bit but when closing door not up.

I assume that the soft top doesn´t start its sequence because it is unable to roll down windows first.
I´ve tried disconnecting battery again - no luck. What should I do next to solve this problem?

Unless there is a failure in the soft top mechanizm all I can think to do is check fuses and be sure no doors, hood or trunk lid is ajar.

Why did you disconnect the battery ???? Also there is sensor plug by the battery that might have got broke....that is for the top...

Other than that bad window motors or BCM.....

There is a top position sensor behind the battery. If it comes loose or is disconnected, the top will not function. I knocked it off when I replaced the battery. It's the yellow plug in the picture.

I think I have a solution, but don't know how to manage this - the softtop must be in closed position to learn windows. But... the top is down and windows can't be indexed this way. So I have to somehow tell the car that softtop is in fully closed position.. any ideas?

Have you followed the operation instructions in the manual for Manual Operation of the top to get it fully closed?

My top on my 2018 wouldn't go up most the time, just started out of the blue after a year+ working fine, had to park the car, drive the car, wiggle the windows and it might work. Took it to the dealership about a month ago and found out its a software issue which they updated and its worked perfectly since.
